Rev. Ron Bartlow leads a four-week class for any who would like to learn more about the history of our Methodist movement as it was experienced in England. In these four sessions we will focus on the historical setting of 18th Century England, in which John and Charles Wesley began the Methodist movement
This January, in our traditional worship services Rev. Ron Bartlow is returning to a series of sermons he shared with us in August, 2021, examining the portrayals of Jesus in the four gospels.
John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, challenged us to say “I am no longer my own but thine. Put me to what you will. Rank me with whom you will.” In other words, put me with the people you want me to be in relationship with, and then use me to do your good work. In order for this to happen, we have to pay attention to the people around us.
We know we are in a “high risk” period for different illnesses and that some may wish to worship with us from home. If you cannot join us, we invite you to revisit one of these services from 2020 or 2021 (including the semi-irreverent but fun “Christmas Eve @ The Office”). Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
We invite you to join us beginning Sunday, January 8 for a special worship series in our 9:30 am contemporary worship service: “MARVEL(ous) Faith.” Each week, we’ll come together in praise, watch some clips from recent MARVEL films, and reflect on spiritual themes reflected in some characters’ storylines.
The Methodist movement had its start in the life and ministry of brothers John and Charles Wesley, priests with the Church of England in the 1700s. You are invited to join Revs. Ron and Lynn Bartlow on a Wesley Heritage Tour of England, May 29 – June 7, 2023.
In September and October Rev. Ron Bartlow will lead us in a worship and discipleship series based upon Rachel Held Evans’ book “Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again.”
Join us for Holy Week and Easter services, as we observe Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter. We also remember our beloved pets.
St. Paul’s is, always has been, and should always be about the gathering of people seeking to know and grow in love for God and neighbor. We are the church together!
