During the first few Sundays of the Easter season – April 12, 19, and 26 – we will be reflecting on the three key themes of the new vision of The United Methodist Church: Loving Boldly, Serving Joyfully, Leading Courageously.
Holy Week begins Sunday, March 29 with Palm Sunday. We have our regular services at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 am. Good Friday, April 3, is not an ending; it is a pause. Join us for a special service at 12 noon. We again have regular service times for Easter Sunday, April 5.
The Christian Season of Lent – a period intended to help us center our hearts and lives on God’s holiness – begins with Ash Wednesday, falling on February 18, 2026. In addition, there will be a small group Lenten book study.
This year, St. Paul’s UMC is excited to offer Spring Break True North Vacation Bible School (VBS). We are offering VBS during Spring Break for our preschool and several school districts! Join us March 16-20, 9 am to 12 noon as we guide kids on True North, the ultimate Alaskan adventures.
In the months of October and November we’ll be exploring, both via a worship series and a weeknight book study, Rev. Adam Hamilton’s book “Half-Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn’t Say”. In this series, we’ll reflect on the nature of Scripture and then consider some of the “myths” that people attribute to the Bible.
In the coming months, you’ll see a variety of opportunities shared by us inviting you to join others from St. Paul’s UMC to go into the community. So far, we have planned these activities: Tucson Meet Yourself, Willcox Wine Country Fall Festival, a Tucson Roadrunners ice hockey game, Trunk or Treat with other community members, and the Winterhave Festival of Lights.
Online registration for Fall 2025 Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is now open. Registration is online, through the Upward website. Early registration is $110, on or before August 21. After that, regular registration is $120.
St. Paul’s is once again joining other faith communities to support the Interfaith Community Services (ICS) Peanut Butter Party Food Drive. Please “spread the love” and help ICS collect 10,000 jars of peanut butter. Bring in your 16 oz jars (not larger please!) from Sunday, June 29 through Sunday, July 27, 2025.
Summer is almost here, and that brings some schedule changes but also new activities. We will change to two worship services for June and July. Children’s and Youth Ministries are on a summer break but resume on Sunday, July 27 with a Rally Sunday for children (ages 3 to grade 5) and a Back-to-School Kickoff for youth (grades 6 to 12).
