Director of Family Ministries

We  are currently looking to hire a full-time Director of Family Ministries. The director will strengthen church-based age-level ministries for children, creatively build ministries geared toward family participation, and develop opportunities for the congregation to connect with families of our local community.  The Director will work on staff with the Lead Pastor, a Director overseeing Youth Ministries for three local congregations, and an Administrative Assistant.

Qualifications for this position include a strong personal faith consistent with The United Methodist Church, as well as strong teaching, relational, and organizational skills. Interested candidates must have a college degree and preferably some experience in local church ministry. Director of Youth Ministries (shared position)

Joining together with Christ Church, and Desert Skies United Methodist Churches, we are seeking an energetic and creative full-time Director for Youth Ministries to launch and lead a new shared youth ministry. The ministry is envisioned to include a combined Sunday evening youth group, two concurrent Sunday school classes led by volunteers, and a shared discipleship (“confirmation”) class coordinated with the three pastors.. Our hope is to find a Director who, in addition to creating and implementing programming, can build a strong volunteer team working within a unified vision. Ideal candidates for this position should be well versed in the United Methodist tradition and have a college degree, as well as strong teaching, relational, and organizational skills. Sponsored by three congregations striving to be open and affirming, it is expected the youth ministry will be a safe place that affirms and welcomes any middle and high school youth who wish to participate.
