St. Paul’s Hosts October Poz Cafe

St. Paul’s, The Good Shepherd United Church of Christ (Sahuarita), and Congregation M’Kor Hayim will be hosting the TIHAN October Poz Cafe . All three faith communities will share the cost for the food and also provide the needed items for the care packages and the prizes for the virtual bingo. Supporting Poz Cafe is a yearly outreach for St. Paul’s.

Poz Cafe is a monthly luncheon for people living with HIV, held on the third Thursday of the month. Due to the pandemic, Poz Cafe is held as a drive through pick up. The food is now prepared at Amity Foundation and transported to Cornerstone Fellowship where the meals are boxed up for pick up at two different distribution locations.

We will be collecting items for the care packages from Sunday, October 2 through through Sunday, October 16, 2021. Please bring your items on Sunday and place them in the collection box in the church sanctuary. Toilet paper, paper towels, liquid hand soap, small Clorox bleach or other disinfecting cleaner, $5 or $10 gift cards, pair of bath towels, new pillows, other small household items, pet treats or toys. Monetary donations are also welcome. Please indicate that the donation is for the Poz Cafe.

We also need three volunteers to hand out the care packages and meals.

Thank you for your caring and compassion for those living with HIV. Please direct your questions to Jenny Hartung, 520-296-0308.
