Weavers

June 28, 2026
As disciples of Jesus in an age of rampant individualism, we seek to build a caring spiritual community. As "weavers," we help to weave the social fabric of relationships together with compassion, and not as those who rip the fabric apart. We learn to live anew in community as the Apostle Paul says as "members, one of another". Rev. Dave's sermon today is "Weavers" with scripture from Romans 12:9-18, 21.
After the resurrection, Jesus tells the disciples to go to Galilee where he will meet them. We look ahead as a church where Christ goes before us and meets us. Christ asks the church to look ahead, move forward and make room for new encounters & witnesses of faith. In resurrection, the church can arise as Christ's body. We're called to look for Jesus not by turning inward to the already known, but by leaving the familiar behind and seeking him in an unknown future. We thank God for communities that help make us who we are, and for the opportunity to connect with others who are different from us. Rev. Dave's sermon today is "We’re Going to Galilee!" with scripture from Matthew 28:1-10.
