Gym Floor Special Gifts

"Retire the Debt and Re-floor the Gym" - Campaign name with wooden sports floor underneath

Help us “Re-floor the Gym” for our 65th Birthday!

St. Paul’s Church built the Life Center and gymnasium in 2000 with dreams to house a variety of ministries for the congregation and our east Tucson neighborhoods.  One of those Christian ministries, Upward Sports basketball and cheerleading, began in 2004. Over the last 20 years, through our Upward program our gym has hosted:

  • 40 basketball seasons,
  • 20 summer camps,
  • approximately 6,000 children registered to play,
  • approximately 3,840 hours of practices on weeknights and
  • more than 1,600 games on Saturdays!

Upward is an affordable, meaningful youth sports league for our community. Our faith-based league says “yes” to any child from all walks of life, and also included many children with disabilities. Over these years, church members have funded the overhead of the facility and staff support and also donated tens of thousands of dollars to hundreds of scholarships, so no child is left out.

Current and previous members of the Upward Sports basketball and cheerleading family are invited to make a one-time tax-deductible gift towards the purchase of the new floor. By donating to this project you are paying it forward to the next generation of Tucson youth.

We ask you to please consider making a special gift, above your normal support of Upward Sports. If you are willing, please share your pledge with us via email, or use the embedded link below to make an online donation right now.

On behalf of your Upward Sports and St. Paul’s U.M.C. leadership,
we thank you for your prayerful support.
