Today, Rev. Meredith Joubert continues with our lectionary based series, "Questions Along the Way". This week's sermon, "Who Am I?", is based on Exodus 3:1-15 (God calls Moses; Moses responds, "Who Am I?") and Matthew 16:21-28. In the latter, confronted with Jesus' prediction of his death, Peter argues such cannot happen. Jesus challenges them all with what it means to be first and last, to save and lose. This back and forth is reminiscent of Moses' struggling with his own identity and calling in God. Ultimately, strength and reward are God's to bestow.
