Our Lenten Journey: The Road to Life

Pastor:
Passage: Ezekiel 37:1-14, Psalm 130:1-8, John 11:1-45

Today is the fifth Sunday of Lent, our 40 day journey of preparation for Easter. Lent is a time for reflection, repentance, and self-examination, observed by fasting, prayer, and acts of service. It is a time of spiritual renewal to deepen one’s relationship with God.

Without the breath of God, we are dry bones, and without the Word of God, we are dust. Out of the depths of despair, we cry to God. We are lost in a world of pain and suffering. When we put our trust in weapons of war, we find no peace. When we put our faith in our own resources, we feel the ache of our true needs. When we put our hope in the health of our bodies, we suffer pain and find no healing. We ask God to forgive our doubts and fears and to heal our brokenness, so that we may rejoice in His steadfast love. Rev. Ron’s sermon is “The Road to Life” with scripture readings from Ezekiel 37:1-14, Psalm 130:1-8, and John 11:1-45.
