Today is the seventh Sunday of Easter, and Heritage Sunday. Today, United Methodists celebrate our heritage as followers of Jesus Christ in company of the Wesleys and the "Methodists." The observance corresponds with Aldersgate Day which commemorates the day when John Wesley, while attending a group meeting on Aldersgate Street in London, felt his heart was strangely warmed with the assurance of God’s love.
