Bright Hope for Tomorrow
Today is the sixth Sunday of Lent, and Palm Sunday. The celebration of Palm Sunday is a celebration rooted in hope. While perhaps based on a “misunderstanding” of the Messiah’s role in the new kingdom, even still it is about hope for what can be when God’s reign is made manifest on earth as it is in heaven. That’s something many of us would long for today, even though we still argue over what it might look like or who would be included. Jesus’ example helps us to see that God’s bright future is for all. Rev. Ron Bartlow gives the sermon “Bright Hope for Tomorrow” (Psalm 118:1-2, 19-29 and Matthew 21:1-11).
