Today, we look at Words of the Year: "Authentic" and "Rizz". "Authentic" was one of this year's most looked-up definitions. That speaks volumes about our quest for truth in an age of algorithms and online artifice. People are looking for "authentic" experiences, including in church. In addition, the apostle Paul uses the word charism (charisma, charismata) multiple times in the New Testament letters. Ideally, Rizz and Authenticity are linked with integrity – with being who we really are. Rev.
