We conclude our three week worship series in which we we will be reflecting on the three key themes of the new vision of The United Methodist Church: Loving Boldly, Serving Joyfully, Leading Courageously. When we "lead courageously", we follow Jesus’ example by resisting and dismantling all systems of evil, injustice, and oppression, striving for peace, justice and reconciliation.
Being brave is not a singular occurrence. It's a journey that we can choose to undertake every day. God creates in us a clean heart and renews a right spirit within us, so that we may always choose the more excellent way. So that, when we reach pivot points in our life, we can push past our fears and act with strength.
