Learn Tai Chi for Health: stress reduction, gentle stretching, exercise, improved balance, and enjoyment! A new class series starts Tuesday, January 14, 2025. We meet from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in Brummet Hall.

This six to seven week series of classes covers some basic forms and principles. After that, those interested can continue on to learn additional forms. Cost for the series is $30. New students can join in the first or second class. The class follows a program of tai chi based on Sun style, and developed by Dr. Paul Lam and the Tai Chi for Health Institute. It is a regular and progressively learned set of forms.

Classes are for all ages, kids to seniors. Tai Chi is excellent for flexibility, strength, and total physical fitness. Doctors highly recommend Tai Chi for those suffering from Parkinson’s, arthritis, and other movement disorders. Participants can stand, use a chair, or walker for balance.
