Radicle Methodism – a four-part, in-depth history course about the Methodist movement – will meet on Wednesday nights toward the end of January and beginning of February, 2025.
For those of you with green thumbs, you may see the word “radicle” and know that it refers to a foundational part of a plant. The rest of you may think you’ve spotted a typo! In this free online video history course, we will learn and talk about root systems and what that has to do with Methodism and, especially, what it means to be United Methodist.
Through four sessions, we will travel back to the roots of Methodism and up through the modern day. We’ll examine the various rooted systems that create our current connection as The United Methodist Church. As we journey together through these radicle moments, it is our hope to be reminded of what it means to be United Methodist, to follow in our founders’ footsteps and to be in connection with one another.
Created and hosted by the General Commission on Archives and History of The United Methodist Church, this class will include video presentations and conversation led by Rev. Ron. Learn more about the study.
Plan to join us at 6:00 pm Wednesdays January 22, 29 and February 5, 12.
This class will be offered in a hybrid format, meaning you can choose to come in person or join us via zoom. Please share your interest in joining us by completing the RSVP below.
