The Parable of Darth Vader
Today is the third Sunday of Easter. For some, it is also “Star Wars Day” (“May the Fourth Be With You”). While not a part of the church tradition, the movie tale of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) reminds us that no one is beyond redemption. In real life, God casts his net far and wide, redeeming and calling people ranging from the disciples to Saul, who initially mistreated Jesus’ followers. Rev. Ron Bartlow gives today’s sermon “The Parable of Darth Vader”, with scripture from Acts 9:1-20 (Saul’s conversion) and John 21:1-19 (Jesus appears to disciples).
