Here at St. Paul’s, we strive to include all ages into our church family. Our Family Ministries team is dedicated to helping families grow in their faith, along with having fun! Please read further for news and events about our Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry and Sports Ministry.

  • Children

    Children from kindergarten age and upwards have a place at St. Paul’s, in Sunday School, weekday, and summer Vacation Bible School.

  • Youth

    Growing together as youth, while traveling on our spiritual journeys… helping one another find the Lord through fellowship, connection, prayer, worship and missions.

  • Sports

    St. Paul’s Sports Ministry includes Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. These programs are specifically designed for kindergarten through sixth grade girls and boys, and promote the love of Jesus, and character building self-esteem in every child, through basketball and cheer.

True North vacation bible school logo - Trusting Jesus in a Wild World. Vacation Bible School 2026 This year, St. Paul’s UMC is excited to offer Spring Break True North Vacation Bible School (VBS). We are offering VBS during Spring Break for our preschool and several school districts! Join us March 16-20, 9 am to 12 noon as we guide kids on True North, the ultimate Alaskan adventures.
Christmas Eve Services at St. Paul’s UMC Christmas just is not complete without Christmas Eve worship by candlelight. We hope you will consider joining us for one of our special services to celebrate this holy evening. Each service will feature the traditional singing of Silent Night by candlelight.
Christmas through the Lens of Hollywood Join us this Advent season for our fun and festive Advent worship series: “Christmas Through the Lens of Hollywood”. In addition to entertaining us, movies can have the ability to touch our hearts. We invite you to be join us each week in worship as we reflect on how the traditional themes of Advent (Hope, Peace, Joy, Love) are viewed through the lens of some of Hollywood’s favorite Christmas movies.
Bible open to Book of Psalms Opening the Bible Class Heather Stein, Director of Family Ministries, will be teaching a beginners class to the Bible in October. This is a four week series of interactive classes geared toward late elementary children and their favorite adult – perfect for our 3rd graders and above.
Basketball going into the hoop. Register Now for Fall 2025 Upward Basketball and Cheerleading Online registration for Fall 2025 Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is now open. Registration is online, through the Upward website. Early registration is $110, on or before August 21. After that, regular registration is $120.
