At St. Paul’s United Methodist Church…
- We strive to be a generous community. This includes being generous in our care for and inclusion of one another. We affirm and welcome all people to participate fully in the life of our church with no judgments on your history or place in life.
- We believe every one of us is of sacred worth, whatever our age, race, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, political persuasion, or any other identity distinctions that might otherwise be used to classify or separate us from one another.
- We are rooted in the long-standing heritage and history of “the people called Methodist.” One of the longest-standing practices of Methodists have been the three rules for daily living: (1) Do good, (2) Do no harm, (3) Seek to connect with God.* From the beginning these “rules” have been encouraged to be the marks by which we aim to measure our growth in love.
- We seek to live these rules out combined with United Methodist affirmations that “all persons are individuals of sacred worth, created in the image of God” and that “all persons need the ministry of the Church.” At St. Paul’s, we work to create safe, trusting environments where every person will be treated with dignity and respect.
- We thus affirm that ALL people are invited to participate fully in the life of our church as together we seek to grow in our love for God and others.
